Ian Powell, the founder of Laser Dynamics, has been exploring the power of the laser medium since 1983 and became actively involved in the laser industry in 1995.

Driven by his love for music and passion for the visual arts, he applies his technical expertise as a qualified electronic engineer to express himself through his work.

Laser Dynamics was brought to life as Lasers Limited in 1995. Back then we only had a single professional laser and projector system. The company has since grown from strength to strength, and currently owns several laser systems boasting the latest laser and related technologies. We have also added to our product list and now are offering water screens and curtains as well. Laser Dynamics has the widest water screens in South Africa. We can offer sizes from 1 to 12 meters without any adaptors or brakes.

Lasers Limited was also the first company to introduce the highly acclaimed professional Lasershow Designer Software to South Africa. This award winning professional computer-based laser show system is used by most of the prominent laser show companies and theme parks including Epcot Centre and Sea World in Orlando, Florida, USA.

The company owns a 500m² premises incorporating offices, boardroom and workshop facilities as well as a 200m² studio and demonstration facility. Demonstrations at our studios can be arranged by appointment from the 1st of August.

The company recently changed its name to Laser Dynamics to be more representative of its dynamic characteristic.
